At Plum, we never say “never,” at least when it has to do with long-lost books returning to our shelves.
In this case, something long-requested made its way back to us: Kwong Wing Lam and Ted Mancuso’s book, “MOI FAH:The Plum Flower Fist of Shaolin.” This was Sifu Lam’s first book on Shaolin, teaching the form, Shaolin #7, that is typically taught to beginners in the Northern Shaolin (Bak Sil Lum) system. It was also the first (and only) collaboration between Sifu Lam and Sifu Mancuso, a student of Sifu Lam’s at the time.
The book has a checkered publishing history, which was actually quite common for martial arts publishing back in the day. Editors came and went as fast as kicks, although the most grievous blow was the misspelling of Sifu Lam’s name on the cover, something they would never change, for some reason.
Anyway, that shouldn’t prevent you from enjoying this book, especially if you have been waiting for its return for a long while. Click the image to see the book, and to order.
