Here is a new Chinese text on a style of Kung Fu much influenced by the Mei Hua Poles, a set of stakes driven into the ground upon which practitioners balance as they practice and even spar (Don’t do this at home, please.) Though there is another branch called simply Mei Hua or Plum Blossom Boxing, this style has come out with at least three texts including this newest and an older one in English. Mei Hua is a style based on the number Five (s in the poles) with unusual footwork and some longevity exercises popular enough to be practiced by people who are not boxers.
