An “Essential” Wushu Book

Survey text on Chinese Martial Arts @ plumpubcom

Here is a book that surveys the whole field of Chinese Martial Arts all in one volume. This book was issued in 1992 and it was one of the first in English to talk about Wushu principles, styles (dozens of them), weapons, competition and more. Wu Bin was the head compiler and it made him into a well known name. If you are interested in the differences in many styles, decriptions of what Wushu is all about and its goals, historical and cultural contributions and factors, this is a very good starting place and will probably go into our newest project in the planning stage: a site devoted to the beginning Kung Fu student. If you have friends who ar thinking of Kung Fu mention this book and maybe tell them to check in as we make progress on the “Kung Fu Circle.”
