I’m one of those collectors who likes to pile through the “miscellaneous” bin at record shops and art stores. A little while ago we posted a style of Kung Fu rare indeed and, as we do, had to display the DVD under “various”. The style was the work of a single man, in his 70’s now, who studied under three great though not inordinately famous teachers. It was pure folk Kung Fu as we so identified it. When we put up the first of these we had one customer send a pithy email, “Holy crap!” We kid you not. Here is another of this style where the normal warmups and basic movements are done with an intent and a meaning which, if you’ve performed 10 000 arm whips as we have, will shed new light on the word “basics”.
