We have found that the BEST two FREE players for VCDs and stubborn DVDs on your computer are:

a.) VLC (http://www.videolan.org) and

b.) Mpeg Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/)

If you re experiencing any trouble at al, or if you just want a couple of powerful players, try these.

However, if you are using WMP, here are instructions for playing...

Below are the instructions for playing VCDs using Windows Media Player:

1. Insert VCD

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Under FILE, choose "OPEN"

4. (THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP!!) UNDER FILE TYPES choose "ALL FILES". THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE DEFAULT OF "ALL MEDIA TYPES".

5. Choose MPEGAV Folder

6. If you know how to do it, show DETAILS. The largest file is the one you want to select. Otherwise, if you do not see file sizes, it's usually #2 or #3. Select the largest file and double-click on that.

That's it!! It takes longer to describe than to perform!

Generally, there is no problem with Macs using Quicktime, but please email shayman@plumpub.com if you have any other questions.
