First, be advised that all of these VCD's are IN CHINESE ONLY. In our opinion that doesn't matter much because the instruction is clear and the quality of photography very good. But we will not accept returns just because people didn't read... IN CHINESE ONLY. Given that, these are really tremendous deals for the money. Each of these special VCD's can be played on a computer for full enjoyment. Made for PC's they are also Mac compatible by downloading Quick time (for free) and any similar VCD player program. Here from another lineage than that of Yip Man with very interesting variations especially on the dummy form.These shows the art of Wing Chun as demonstrated by students of the famous Peng Nam of FoShan, in Guan Dong province. Mr. Pan's Wing Chun is considered a national treasure in China.

All three hand sets of the Wing Chun Pai system are represented in this single VCD. Wing Chun is, of course, one of the most popular southern styles as attested to by the saying, "In the North there's Taiji and in the South there is Wing Chun." Each variation here is a little different from the Yip Man version. They are shown by Deng JieNeng and Pan YingLong. Though certainly not as unusual we have seen these will have variations that might be of interest to Wing Chun enthusiasts. All three forms in one VCD is a nice reference indeed.

I must be stupid. I thought I knew something about Wing Chun Pai. This version of “sticky hands” looks more like a cross between Push Hands and Shuai Jiao. Even the hand rolling pattern is different from what we normally associate with the art. Two players, who appear more to be wrestlers,push, pull, throw and lock each other from arms engaged. After this, there follows a section of applications for single attacks. Demonstrators Deng jieNeng and Pran YingLong aree said to be Gold Medalists but somehow the flavor of this Southern dish, Wing Chun, has not carried well into the North. English narration.

This is the well known set but a rather significantly different interpretation. In general, there are more series of chain punches, double hand usage and claws. The practitioners Liang ManZhi and Liang YingChang are precise and clear in their movements. Explanations of the movements are given in English and in this series the sections can all be reached through the menu: a new development in VCDs.

The Wooden Dummy integrates all the attack, stepping and leg methods of Sil Lum Tao (Xiao Lien Tou), Seeking the Bridge (Chum Kiu) and Dart Fingers (Bil Ji or Biao Chih). The Wooden Dummy embodies the actual method and fighting strategy of the Wing Chun system. It incorporates ideas from Free Hand Defenses, Chi Sao (Sticky Hands) , Counter Fighting and Free Fighting. The Dummy forces the practitioner to perfectly integrate his foot movements with his hands. This version is very rarely seen incorporating many FINGER STRIKES against the dummy as well as some hooking and controlling actions not commonly known or associated with the version made famous by Yip Man and his disciples.

This weapon's skills consist of Drawing, Shooting, Cutting and Beating methods. The effect is to increase strength and promote issuance of energy. It requires the practitioner to create force that reaches the tip of the stick by combining focus, strength, Ch'i and soft movement.
BUTTERFLY KNIVES Short sabers of the Southern school; combine the basics of empty hand methods into movements for the Butterfly knives. These are imagined as being applied against a longer weapon, necessitating the penetrating actions of fast footwork perfectly coordinated with appropriate hand techniques.
