VCD#580 Tan Tui Kung Fu Applications
About
1 Hour, VCD pricing, Chinese Only
With
Sui Shi Guo. Not every Tan Tui is from Muslim Kung Fu but since
it originated in that branch we show it here. Lin Qing is a style
of Tan Tui. If you are familiar with a version of this important
and widely taught set you will see a much expanded version (just
one of many) where every road is a set within itself. Many applications from this form which, to many beginners, doesn't seem very applicable.
We remind you there is an old saying, "If you Tan Tui is
good, so is your Kung Fu."

VCD#137 Cha style Kung Fu Fundamentals
About
1 Hour, VCD pricing, Chinese Only
If
you are like us, that is crazy about Kung Fu, you will find the
fundamentals fascinating. As we have written recently, basics are
important, if they are real and give some "flavor" of
the actual style. Cha movements are particularly geared toward grasping
one of the main concepts of Kung Fu: namely convergence.
Cha will often require the practitioner to perform multiple timed
actions that coalesce at a certain beat. While Cha looks loose and
wide its hidden corners and turns are what make it so interesting
and representative of real Kung Fu skills. Cha is the main representative
as a member of branches collectively known as Jiao Men or religious
style pertaining to its Muslim origins. |

actually exist in any branch of Cha. Some are "collapsed"
into other sets. In this case the 3rd, 6th and 9th roads are compressed
into a comprehensive form. |

VCD#138 Cha style Kung Fu Road #1 "Mother/Son"
About
1 Hour, VCD pricing, Chinese Only
This
is # 1 , also known as the "Mother-Son" set of the Cha
style. As in Shaolin, it is Long and somewhat involved. The old
Kung Fu joke is that people are so scared you tell them it's your
#1 that they don't want to fight. Cha movements are particularly
geared toward grasping one of the main concepts of Kung Fu: namely
convergence. In a style like Cha this is a major set for fundamental
actions and is probably the third most common Cha form after #'s
4 and 5. |
