Choy Lai Fut is one
of the largest styles in the Kung Fu world. Developed as an intersection
of three styles Choy Gar, Li Gar and Fut Gar (Shaolin): Choy Lai
Fut is a Southern Long Fist style. Movements are powerful, flowing
and beautiful. It is one of the easiest styles, in our opinion,
for non-Asians to excel in. Combining whip punches with short
angled strikes, CLF is a varied and interesting form of Kung Fu
which has produced many full contact fighters. This series of
films is produced with the help of Master Li Siu Hong the brother
of deceased CLF Grandmaster Lee Koon Hong. In this project he
is aided by instructor Joe Keit, a capable and talented performer.
About the tapes: All
of these run about about 25-30 minutes with the same introduction
about Masters Li Koon Hung and his brother Li Siu Hung. There
is little verbal instruction but the breakdown of the the forms
is clear and already divided into sections. Generally there is
a demo of the entire form. Warm up and a stance sequence is shown
by Master Li himself.

DRAGON
FAN
The
Fan was a popular weapon with Kung Fu masters because of its size
and easy concealment. The Dragon Fan Form of CLF is a high level
traditional form that has many techniques for easy self defense.
Almost all of the fan techniques can be easily converted to stick
or flute. Unlike many fan forms this is strictly a fighting form
using the fan techniques originally developed for the traditional
iron-ribbed weapon.
